What We Do

Services

We specialize in terrain other equipment can't handle — bringing remote-controlled forestry mulching technology to the steepest, densest, most overgrown land in the region.

Service 01

Forestry Mulching

Forestry mulching is the most efficient method of land clearing available today. A single machine grinds trees, brush, vines, and stumps directly into fine mulch — which stays on your property as natural ground cover.

Unlike traditional clearing methods, there's no burning, no hauling, and no bare exposed soil left behind. The mulch layer suppresses regrowth, retains moisture, and actually improves the ground you're working to reclaim.

Best for:

  • Overgrown acreage
  • Invasive species removal
  • Fire break creation
  • Trail clearing
  • Fence line cleanup
  • Pre-development clearing

Service 02

Stump Grinding

Stumps are more than an eyesore — they're a tripping hazard, a barrier to mowing, and often a source of continued regrowth. Stump grinding eliminates them completely, leaving the area usable and clean.

We grind stumps to below grade so you can seed, build, park, or simply mow over the spot without obstacle. No chemicals. No excavation. No damage to surrounding landscape.

Best for:

  • Post-tree-removal cleanup
  • Lawn reclamation
  • Driveway clearing
  • Garden bed prep
  • Construction site prep
  • HOA common areas

Service 03 — Our Specialty

Slope & Hillside Clearing

This is what SlopesEdge was built for. Our FAE RCU 55 remote-controlled tracked mulcher operates safely on slopes up to 55° — terrain that's simply inaccessible to conventional equipment and dangerous for operators.

If you've been told "nothing can get up there," we're worth a call. We've cleared hillsides, embankments, steep road cuts, and ridgeline parcels throughout our service area — often in situations where every other company passed on the job.

Best for:

  • Steep hillsides & embankments
  • Road cut revegetation
  • Ridgeline parcels
  • Erosion control prep
  • Utility right-of-way
  • Inaccessible acreage

Service 04

Brush & Overgrowth Removal

Overgrown pastures, neglected fence lines, and brushy property edges don't just look bad — they harbor pests, reduce property value, and limit what you can do with your land.

We reclaim these spaces efficiently, clearing dense brush and low vegetation in a single pass. The result is usable, open land — ready for grazing, fencing, construction, or simply enjoying your property the way you intended.

Best for:

  • Overgrown pastures
  • Fence line clearing
  • Property edge cleanup
  • Tick & pest habitat reduction
  • Lot prep for sale
  • Farmland reclamation

Common Questions

What People Ask Us

What size trees can the mulcher handle?
The FAE RCU 55 handles trees up to approximately 6–8 inches in diameter. For larger trees or mixed situations, we can discuss a combined approach during your site visit.
Will mulching damage the surrounding trees I want to keep?
No. Our equipment is precision-operated and can work within feet of trees you want to preserve. We walk the site with you in advance to clearly mark any areas to protect.
Do I need to haul anything away afterward?
No — that's one of the biggest advantages of forestry mulching. Everything is ground in place and left as a mulch layer on your property. It's organic material that improves the soil, suppresses weeds, and prevents erosion.
How long does a typical job take?
Residential and smaller jobs can typically be done in a day. Larger acreage or more complex terrain will be outlined clearly in your quote so you know what to expect before we start.
Do you work in winter or wet conditions?
Yes, we work year-round in most conditions. Frozen or very wet ground can actually make some jobs easier since it provides better footing for the equipment. We'll advise you on timing if conditions are a factor for your specific site.
How do I get a quote?
Call or text us at 276-200-4037, or fill out the contact form on our Contact page. We'll schedule a free on-site visit and deliver a written quote — usually within 48 hours of the site visit.
